Samsung continues to expand its range of smartphones dedicated to the photo and equipped with a true optical zoom with the announcement Tuesday of “Galaxy K zoom,” which features a 20.7 megapixel sensor and runs on Android 4.4.
Phone or compact camera, no need to choose? In recent years, Samsung multiplies attempts to respond in earnest to that. Its latest initiative, announced Tuesday, is called Samsung Galaxy K zoom. In line S4 zoom launched last summer, the newcomer is therefore seeking to combine the best of both worlds in a single device.
Presented as a full phone (and not a connected camera, the Galaxy K zoom takes a back 20.7 megapixel sensor (1 / 2.3 inch), combined with a 10x optical zoom lens, whose optical covers a focal length ranging from 24 to 240 mm, with an aperture ranging from f / 3.1 and f / 6.3. Accompanied by a xenon flash, it is lined with a second sensor of 2 megapixels on the front. The zoom is retractable, so that the device is usable as an everyday smartphone, but it is not without impact on the general lines of the phone, with a thickness that varies between 16 and 20 mm.
