Samsung Chromebook 2: Korean adopts Intel Bay Trail and faux leather

Samsung decided last September to stop selling PCs in Europe, except for the Chromebook. Naturally, the Korean just introduced a new variant of its Chromebook with a design that leaves no one indifferent.

The first Chromebooks from Samsung with its Exynos 5 Octa was the bare minimum, the ARM architecture did not have the performance to provide a suitable user experience. On the new Samsung Chromebook 2 include Intel Bay Trail Celeron N2840 clocked at 2.58 GHz. A real breath of fresh air.

The screen (not touch) 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 pixels resolution and 13-inch Full HD 1080p seems too light at first, there are also 2GB of RAM and 16GB SSD. The good? An autonomy that easily exceeds 10 hours and WiFi 802.11ac. What upsets us? The adoption of faux leather on the upper shell – that can be found on the latest Galaxy Note. For less than 250 euros, the Samsung Chromebook 2 may be relevant. What about availability? For now, Samsung France has not yet communicated this product.
